普通物理學實驗 - General Physics Lab.

第一輪實驗:滑線電位計、磁滯曲線 、光學基礎實驗
第二輪實驗:簡單邁克生干涉計實驗、霍爾效應、rc/rl 基本交流電路
第三輪實驗:rlc 基本交流電路、微波的性質、光譜分析、示範實驗

實驗一 滑線電位計
以滑線電位計的原理,測量某待測電池的電動勢和內電阻值。

實驗二 磁滯曲線
測定軟鐵及鋼鐵的磁滯曲線。

實驗三 光學基礎實驗
觀察各種光學原件的光學現象:各種光柵、反射式光柵、全像片、偏振片、壓克力棒、光碟等

實驗四 簡單邁克生干涉計實驗
運用簡單邁克生干涉計 (michelson interferometer) 及 he-ne 雷射測量單頻光波長,並觀察干涉現象,並驗證波長與距離二者的關係。

實驗五 霍爾效應
推知物質中導電粒子所帶電荷的電性,及測量半導體電壓、磁場、電流及元件寬度所決定的霍爾係數 (hall coefficient)。

實驗六 rc/rl 基本交流電路
了解電阻、電容、電感等被動元件的基本電學性質,進而討論rl與rc基本交流電路。

實驗七 rlc 基本交流電路
藉由rlc電路的探討,了解阻尼震盪,電路共振等物理概念。

實驗八 微波的性質
透過微波,觀察電磁波的:駐波、偏振、折射、漸逝波、受抑全反射等光學性質。

實驗九 光譜分析
利用已知波長的光譜線刻度分光鏡 (spectroscope),用以測量其他光譜線的波長。

實驗十 示範實驗
1.光電效應
2.密立根油滴實驗
3.franck-hertz實驗 :由電子原子間的非彈性碰撞,觀察原子能階的存在,建立能量量子化的觀念。
4.電子繞射實驗
5.核磁共振實驗;瞭解核磁共振的基本原理,研習核磁共振現象及其實驗方法,並應用於氫原子核γ值之測定。

information theory is a graduate level course (motivated undergraduate students are welcome) designed for students who are interested in the quantitative fundamental limits of information. what is information and how to quantify information? what is the fundamental limits in representing information, delivering information, and learning information? in this course, we try to answer the above high-level questions with mathematical rigor.

we first introduce the fascinating theory originated from claude e. shannon, which addresses the above fundamental questions in the context of communication systems. we then provide algorithms that achieve these fundamental limits. finally, application of information theory to other fields such as statistical inference, secrecy, networks, signal processing, stochastic optimization, etc., will be selectively overviewed in class and explored in final projects.
