Our undergraduate program has been the first choice of students in the engineering category since 1970’s. Our program emphasizes on both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering. We offer very comprehensive courses covering 11 areas in electrical engineering: Automatic Control, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Communications and Signal Processing, Data Science and Intelligent Networking, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Design Automation, Electro-Optics, Integrated Circuits and Systems, Nano-Electronics, Power/Power Electronics Engineering.

Our department is one of the largest EE departments in Taiwan, with more than 120 world-renowned faculty, among whom are 38 IEEE fellows, 8 Optica fellows, and recipients of various other world-class prestigious honors. Our undergraduate program admits top-notch students from Taiwan or international schools. They are well trained by our department for both hardware and software skills. Our students won many local or international competitions. Each year, more than one thousand students are graduated from our graduate and undergraduate programs. Most of them enter top companies or international research institutes.

There are so many NTUEE alumni in Taiwan’s high-tech industry. NTUEE has strong connections with large companies. Inside NTU, there are many industrial centers, such as TSMC, MediaTek, Delta, Asus, AUO centers, Chunghwa Telecom, etc. A very large portion of our research funding comes from high-tech companies.
