Continuous refinement and enhancement of the course syllabus and materials contribute to the ongoing improvement in teaching quality and the overall learning experience, providing a platform for innovative teaching practices. Our collaborative approach, involving both students and instructors in the design of innovative course syllabi, ensures that the developed materials are finely tuned to meet students’ learning needs, staying abreast of technological trends, and effectively utilizing available teaching resources.
"Creative Cornerstone Course Design for ICT and Engineering Education" is another course stemming from this initiative, targeting senior and graduate students in our department. This course actively engages enthusiastic faculty and students, fostering collaboration to revise and fortify the cornerstone course materials. Its primary objective is to reassess and refine the structure and content of the cornerstone course, "Cornerstone EECS Design and Implementation," based on feedback from students who completed the course in the previous semester(s). The aim is to enhance the comprehensiveness of the course materials, improve coherence among hands-on modules, and use this opportunity to train the teaching assistants for the "Cornerstone EECS Design and Implementation" course in the upcoming academic year.
