Undergraduate Internship Program (UIP)
The "Undergraduate Internship Program (UIP)" is a 1-credit course first offered from Spring 2014 and switched to the Fall semesters in order to equip NTUEE undergraduate students for both domestic and international internship opportunities. The two course objectives are:

O1) Through summer internships with domestic and international industries and academic institutions, we aim to acquaint undergraduate students with industry culture, technological trends, and demands. This approach enhances their motivation to learn and broadens their horizons, including developing an international perspective. It also fosters the ability to apply their knowledge to practical issues and unleash their potential for innovation and in-depth research

O2) By involving teachers and teaching assistants in discussions and assignments, we strengthen students' soft skills in both written and oral communications. This helps improve their chances during interviews, enabling them to showcase their unique qualities and effectively utilize their practical experiences and case studies from school projects and extracurricular activities when answering questions.

Over the past 10 years, the course has assisted more than 300 NTUEE undergraduate students in preparation, matching, and counseling for internships. They were subsequently placed in various companies during the summer. Students have generally reported gaining good understanding of themselves and the industry through this experience. Joint sponsorship by NTUEE and MOE Overseas Internship Program has enriched more than 40 students with international internship experiences, both professional and cultural, in USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore, India, etc.
